Kick off the holiday season in Downtown Ellijay on Friday, November 28th, 2025, as our charming mountain town transforms into a winter wonderland!

Broad Street will come alive with festive vendors, delicious holiday treats, and family fun. From 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM, visit Santa on the Courthouse Steps for free photos and face painting for the kids.

Then at 6:00 PM, gather along the streets for the Merry Mountain Town Parade — featuring glowing floats, cheerful music, and the official lighting of Ellijay’s Christmas tree.

Don’t miss the kickoff of the Merry Mountain Town Decorating Competition! Pick up a map at the Downtown Welcome Center, tour the dazzling displays, and vote for your favorite festive creation.

• 12:00 PM – 7:00 PM: Merry Mountain Town Festival on Broad Street
